I reciently heard about apples latest piece of technology, and it's called the iPad.
The reason why i haven't chased this piece of technology from apple is because i never relised wot it can actually do, and what it can't do.
Now i have never been a fan of macs, i always think of it as the fashionable piece of technology, that doesn't do what u want it to do.
Frankly speaking the average teenager that likes gaming could tell you that.
Down to business.
The iPad is basically a ipod touch that is slightly bigger.
Here is a picture of Mr Steve Jobs, for those who don't know hes the CEO of Apple.
Now your probably thinking... it looks like a tablet, which it is.. however to my knowledge a tablet isn't controled by your fingertips the same way a iPad is, perhaps some are, nor are u able to things you can do with a iPad, such as turn it around?
The idea of a tablet is a sophiscated PC, however having said that it packs down a lot of weight... the iPad does not, it can be moved around turned around and even fliped around.
From here u can see how thin it is... it works just as a itouch/phone works, except better, you can customise backgrounds, arrange things, organise things, u can go around the and actually surf the web, not a substitute, by this meaning a reduced version of your facebook... or a fake youtube, by that meaning u don't see the extra stuff which eases navigation. HD is no problem, movies is not problem, music is no problem, even itunes is preloaded.
This piece of technology is something very special.
But any PC user can tell you now, a iPad is not all it is worked out to be.
Personall, i think nothing beats a keyboard and a mouse. You could never use a touch keyboard faster then a button one without making errors, however prove me wrong. A mouse gives u ultimate control, which eliminates laptops as a competition. You couldn't play games on your iPad.
The idea of a iPad is to simplify your life to a more portable machine. This is the idea of the iPad, simplicity.
Although storage could be a drag, you have a solid 10 hours of battery life, which can smash most laptops/tablets/small portable pc's
Powered by a 1ghz processor, enought to get u threw a day?
You know all in all it's not that bad of a machine. But as a comapany they have their target market in mind, as a loser sitting on the internet making fail blogs... i can't seem to find that target market yet... Surly you wouldn't use one of these for uni?!?!?
