Facebook and the Dislike button

Theres been a lot of things pushing facebook for a dislike button, however i really doubt the fact, anyone working for facebook, in their right mind would even consider such a stupid act. The whole concept of facebook is to create a happy socializing network.

If you still don't get it, lets break it down a bit more.
Most of the big companies that monitor internet safety have reported to the news numerous times about the dangers of internet bullying, even more so, how internet bullying can and has led to serious depression among teenagers. I know because a few friends of mine have personally experienced this and has led them to deactivate their facebook accounts.

You might now be thinking, what am i talking about, how does this even relate. It doesn't directly relate, for example if i were to post a stupid status, and people were to dislike it, you'd be thinking what kind of harm could that possibaly do?

If i were to say for example "oh i bought a macbook today, so excited!" if you have the 'like' button present, people can opt to click on it to say they like it, and that they are probably happy for you. If you don't reckon thats cool, then why do you have to like the status or even pay attention to it in the first place.

Breaking down the concept even more, if you were to dislike the same status, and i posted the status, i have the ability to see who dislikes the fact i bought a macbook, and then could potentionally create unnesscessary tension between friends.

So all i ask is for people to seriously have a good think about it before people keep saying stuff like.. give us a dislike button, chances are, it's not gonna happen.

No personal attacks, however if it a dislike button really does get created, i'd really like to see how it goes down. I could be wrong, just voicing a opinion.
