BRB - The 'Be Right Back' notation

Hello everyone, welcome to today's rant of the day.

Today we are going to focus on the BRB, the Be Right Back notation.

Basically if someone says BRB they usually mean, they'll Be right back, usually said in instant messaging when one needs to quickly dash downstairs for a drink, use the toilet or pick up a phone call, and other various daily activities.

I was curious enought to find when i typed BRB into google images, images which i worn't put on this blog, however they are in the form of Jesus Christ on the cross, saying BRB, very funny huh? well yeah, thats just a bit of funny stuff i found.

Anyways on to business, latly i have been chatting a bit of my friends more, and i seem to have used LOL a lot more then i should, but more on that next time i blog, what im sort of trying to get at is, the definition and meaning of these words, are they still valuable?? are they still meaningful, do they mean what they mean anymore???

My answer to that is, no... They have lost their meaning, and it's not just frequently, they lost the meaning a long time ago, althought some people still use them properly unlike LOL, however it's definintly changed. Back in high school, someone used BRB to get out of talking to someone. For example he'd says "brb" and then never come back, and eventually he'll go offline. Next day at school someone would be all up in his grill and he'd simply respond, i got DCed... which meant he got dissconnected.
But what has this come to? we are all running ADSL and Cable internet connections, now it's just plain stupid to say you got DCed... insted you say things like, oh shit i forgot to say Back when i came back, (obviously implying they didn't want to talk to you). Lots of reasons, Bascially im not trying to launch any personal attacks, we should just reconsider how we uses these terms. If people have been reading my blog, they'd know i have a serious issue writing LOL, and i'll go on that next time.

In the mean time, im gonna
